The California Historical Artillery Society (CHAS) presently uses over 30 ex-harness race horses that were destined for an unpleasant demise. The fate of most discarded racehorses is to be sold at auction by the horseflesh pound! Some of these Standardbred horses are rescued by CHAS and given a second chance at life in the service of the "Army."

With our Horse Sponsor program you can select a specific horse to support. In thanks, you will receive a certificate and color photo of your horse. And, depending on the donation amount, other goodies too! (Please see donation packages below.) All feed and vet care for the CHAS horses comes from donations like yours so any amount is appreciated!
All donations are tax deductible!
