Grapeshot

Dark Bay

Grape is the Boss Mare of the herd. Things are done her way, no questions asked. She is by far the prettiest horse on the ranch as well.

Normally Off-Lead - Wheel if needed

Glenda

Bay

Glenda is oneof our newest horses. Fresh off the track, she's still got a lot of racehorse in her!

Lead

Goldilocks

Bay

Has extra long eyelashes to live up to her name. When she wants to she can be a "push-button horse". She likes to gallop down the beach.

Works well on Lead. Also a good saddle horse

Griddlecake

Bay

Griddlecake is a mare with lots of gusto. She would have pulled an entire team and gun by herself if we’d let her. Recently retired, Griddle is enjoying herself on the ranch.

Lead

Gringo
(AKA "Maggie")

Bay

Gringo is right off the racetrack and real young, but has taken to a team like a veteran. She doesn't even flinch at close gunfire. She is a bit of a toddler though, often stopping the team in mid-trot to look at the flowers or eat some grass.

Swing

Goodlooking

Bay

Goodlooking is easy to spot thanks to her "Roman" nose.

Swing

Gopher

Bay

Gopher is a little mare that can pull a gun and do the bunny hop at the same time. Her little antics aren’t everyone’s favorite but that’s what makes her so colorful.

Wheel

Glory

Bay

Part arab/part quarter horse, Glory is one of our few non-standardbreds. Always the horse for our former 1st LT. Chip Langman, Glory thinks she bigger and badder than she really is. She loves beating up reb horses! She is an expert at dumping riders she doesn't like.

Outrider

Godiva

Dark Bay

Godiva is now a Veteran. She didn't care for the cannons at first but now has no problem with them. If your not careful, she'll take a nip out of your backside.

Lead or Swing

Gambler
(AKA "Princess")

Black

Princess is our only team horse actually born at the ranch. She was orphaned at a very young age so she had to learn how to survive on her own. She used all the tricks in the book to get her things her way, hence the name Princess. Her Army name is Gambler II, after her mother.

Swing

Gunsmoke

Dark Bay

Gunsmoke is the ½ sister of Grapeshot. Her coat really does look like gunsmoke! she spent 10 years working at Gettysburg, PA. She follows her friend Bummer around the corral. She does her bit as an enforcer for team four and has put them all in their place. She is smart as can be and if the team isn’t pulling strong it is usually her trying to get away without working!

Ususally Lead, but can do it all

Badger

Bay

Badger is a curious, sweet gelding who will never get past the age of 2. His immaturity sometimes gets him in trouble when he thinks the saddle is a pacifier. Badger is also the only horse in the herd that resembles a Thoroughbred more than a Standardbred.

Wheel

Bart

Bay

Bart is a stout, dark gelding who keeps to himself and never misses a meal. He is fairly quiet and does his job, no questions asked.

Wheel

Big Guy

Grey

Usually a command mount, Big Guy was honored to be chosen for the "riderless horse" in a military funeral for a Major General CHAS recently participated in.

Outrider

Blackie

Black

Blackie is a gelding that doesn’t have any friends unless they are carrots. He is often seen taking walks by himself in his slow, effortless manner. His speed (or lack of it!) has earned him the nickname "Flash". One of his enduring qualities is when he turns up his nose and smiles at you.

Wheel

Bullet

Bay

Bullet is a gorgeous, tall gelding whose knack is pulling the ambulance. He loves to play games with his friends in the herd.
